“ If the institution does not make a final decision on the proposed tuition increase at the meeting, it shall announce the date, time,
and place of the meeting where that determination shall be made.
Within the limits established in Title 53B, Chapter 8, Tuition Waiver
and Scholarships, each institution within the state system of higher education may, regardless of its policy on obtaining resident student status, waive
nonresident tuition either in whole or in part, but not other fees.
Section 51-7-3. An officer or employee of an institution of higher education may not:
use public funds for a personal use expenditure; or incur indebtedness or liability on behalf of,
or payable by, an institution of higher education for
a personal use expenditure. As used in this section: "Employee" means
a person who is not an elected or appointed officer and
who is employed on a full- or part-time basis by an institution of higher education. ”
